SCRIPTURE:

Thus He (Jesus) has given us, through these things, his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because lust, and may become participants of the divine nature. (2 Peter 1:4 NOAB)
OBSERVATION:
Christ has made the way for salvation and life. Through the life, ministry, death and resurrection of Christ we can break away from the destructive forces of this world. Not only are we promised salvation we can participate.
APPLICATION:
I must believe and accept what Christ has done for the world and me. It is through the self sacrifice of Christ I am able to live an abundant life; now and forever. I must always look for ways to flee from the sinful influences of this world and seek the love and life of Christ. He has done it for me.
PRAYER:
Lord thank you for your great love, a love so great that you went to the cross for me. Empower me to live a life of thankfulness.
YES:
I will share the promise of Good News with someone new today.
